Rules for both the 8 & Under and the 10 & Under leagues was reviewed.

8 & Under
Current Rule: Any ball handled by the outfielder becomes a dead ball, once the ball is back in the infield (across the baseline) or when a play is made at any base.
Revised Rule: Any ball handled by the outfielder becomes a dead ball, once the ball is back in the infield, in possession of an infielder (across the baseline) or when a play is made at any base.

New Rule: A baserunner is not permitted to leave any base (during the pitch), prior to the batter hitting the ball.  A team warning will be given on the first offense, on the second offense, the baserunner will be called out.

New Rule:  A baserunner may advance, at risk of being thrown out, one base on an overthrow to any base.   If any baserunner is past the base that they were going to, prior to the throw, they may advance to the next base at their own risk.
 

10 & Under
New Rule: When the coach is pitching, at the start of the pitch, one foot must be on the pitching rubber.

Fall Ball
Jim McGrath detailed how fall ball scheduling will be done this year.   We are still waiting for word from White Oak if their gym is able to be used.   If it is not, we can use the East Allegheny building, or Plum High School.    The scheduling meeting will be Saturday, August 25.

"Evolution" resurrection
Jen Devey brought up the idea of resurrecting the Evolution All Star idea, for those players who don't want or didn't make a Class A travel team, but want to continue playing after the season.   More research will be done to see if there is any interest.
